Day 1 Toronto - Sudbury - Sault. Ste. Marie
Depart from Toronto in the morning; travel to the largest town in northern Ontario - Sudbury. Visit the famous Big Nickel. Next stop at the City of Maple Leaf - Sault Ste. Marie, enjoy the beautiful scenery and sunset of the largest lake in the world - Lake Superior. Accommodate at local hotel.
Day 2 Sault Ste Marie - Wawa - Thunder Bay
Depart in the morning to visit the “wild goose” town - Wawa, and find a giant statue of Canada Goose poised for flight guards at the entrance to the town. Pass by White River (home of favorite cartoon character Winnie the Pooh) and arrive the third largest port in Canada - Thunder Bay. Follow the trail of Terry Fox’s marathon run for the fund raising of cancer research, remind everyone his act. At sunset, enjoy the view of port buildings encircled by golden sunshine and the quietness of the Lakehead University. Accommodate at local hotel.
Day 3 Thunder Bay - Kenora - Winnipeg
Depart from hotel on next day morning to Dryden, a town that reminds you of the gold rush. Then depart to Kenora, a city with a large native population. The 12-metre wood, steel and fiberglass statue of “Husky Musky” are the attractions of the city. Travel to the capital of Manitoba - Winnipeg in the afternoon. Transfer to the Royal Canadian Mint (Fee applied). The museum offers an once-in-a-lifetime experience - to hold a 23 pound gold bar worth more than $500,000. Then visit the Forks Market; enjoy the city view of Winnipeg and the grand Via Rail Canada Depot. The market contains shops that offer jewelry and crafts, fresh, specialty and ethnic foods; produces and baked goods; souvenirs, etc. Shop around or enjoy a coffee at the riverside. Accommodate at local hotel.
Day 4 Winnipeg - Regina
Visit the Legislative Building and the famous Golden Bay Bronze Statue in the morning. Then travel to Regina in the afternoon and visit the Legislative Building of Saskatchewan. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police Heritage Centre (Free applied). Accommodate at local hotel.
Day 5 Regina - Saskatoon - Edmonton
Continue journey to the capital of Alberta, Edmonton. West Edmonton Mall will be our major attraction of today’s trip. Do you ever see Aquarium, Water Park and Ice-skating locate in the shopping mall? Return to hotel in the evening.
Day 6 Edmonton - Calgary - Banff
Depart in the morning; pass by Calgary’s famous Canada Olympic Park for winter Olympics. Then visit Calgary Tower (Fee applied), you can see the Rocky Mountain Skyline. After lunch transfer to the Banff National Park (Fee applied). Following by a spectacular Banff Gondola ride (Fee applied) to the Sulphur Mountain (with a height of 7,500 ft.); enjoy the panoramic view of Banff and Lake Minnewanka (longest lake in the mountain parks of the Canadian Rockies). Will then visit the picturesque bow falls - venue of the famous movie “River of No Return” (actress Marilyn Monroe). You can also take the lake cruise Minnewanka (Fee applied) to have some unique photo opportunities that cannot found elsewhere. The Lake Minnewanka valley offers some of the most interesting and breathtaking scenery. At the end of the day, enjoy a comfort and warm hospitality at a hotel located in Banff.
Day 7 Banff - Columbia Ice field – Glacier Skywalk - Lake Louise – Salmon Arm
Next stop is Jasper National Park. Visit Columbia Ice Field, the largest ice mass in the Rocky Mountains; a remnant of the great ice sheet that once blanketed most of Canada. Upon arrival, transfer by the big-wheeled “Snow Coach” to more than 300 meters deep Athabasca Glacier (Fee applied); the tour leader provides anecdotes and information during this excursion. You will be amazed by the natural wonders. Then explore the immense powers of glaciology from a fully-accessible, cliff-edge walkway that leads to a glass floored observation platform 280 meters (918 ft) above the Sunwapta Valley. The Glacier Skywalk (Fee applied) is your front row seat to nature’s most grand performance. Continue visits to Payto Lake, pass Bow Lake, Crows foot Glacier, etc. are impressive. Then stop at “The Jewel of Rockies” - Lake Louise. Enjoy boating, strolling along the lake; reflections of mountains on the lake offer fantastic scenery, like paradise. After lunch, via Rocky Mountains and Yoho National Park, then transfer to Salmon Arm. Accommodate at local hotel.
Day 8 Salmon Arm - Kamloops - Vancouver
Depart in the morning, head west for the interiors in the morning. At Kamloops, a city with over 2000 hours of sunshine per year, we will join a tour of the Ginseng factory and learn about the Ginseng’s healing power. After lunch, depart to the largest city in West Coast - Vancouver. Upon arrival, visits to Gas Town and Stanley Park (1,000 acres) where interesting Indians “totem” can be found. Enjoy spectacular sunset views with various styles of boats, yachts and downtown as background. Accommodate at Richmond hotel.
Day 9 Vancouver - Toronto
Gather at hotel and transfer to airport. Depart Vancouver by air, end of this pleasant trip.
